Welcome to Troop 265's Website!

Troop 265 was established in 1972 and is chartered by Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound, Texas. The troop averages 50-70 registered scouts and has produced over 120 Eagle scouts.

We meet every Monday (except for LISD holidays) at the Scout Hut at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 1401 Cross Timbers Road, Flower Mound, TX 75028. For more information, or to schedule a visit, please use the Contact Us link on the left.

Bartle Summer Camp Sign Up is HERE!

Believe it or not, it is time to sign up for Summer Camp 2022.   Troop 265 must submit our Session and Camp request with appropriate head count and deposits by mid November.

A $75 deposit is required to secure a spot at Camp.  The deposit deadline is November 10th, as we must send the deposits in order to obtain our reservation.

Please sign up here if you would like to attend Bartle Summer Camp.  We are requesting Session 2 June 23rd-July 2nd, 2022.

Chess Merit Badge: Online Dec 4th

Scouts, Do you know the basic rules of chess, and are you interested in earning your Chess Merit Badge?  The Kansas City Chess Club is offering a 1-day online class Saturday, Dec. 4th from 11:00am to 2:30pm.  You'll play in a chess tournament, learn about the scope of chess in the world today, find resources to improve your game, and find out how you can participate in other chess competitions, classes, and activities.

Lamb of God Nativity Event December - 11th

Lamb of God Church, our sponsoring organization, will host their live Nativity event on Saturday, December 11. The event is scheduled for 2-5 PM, and scouts/adults are needed to help deliver props to the scenes before the event and pick up the bins and deliver them to the shed after the event.  There will be two shifts. Volunteers are needed in the morning from 9:00 - 10:30am to assemble the trailer seating and in the evening from 5:30 - 7:00pm to disassemble everything.  Please sign up on the troop website if you can help out.

New Citizenship in Society Merit Badge

On November 1st, BSA announced the launch of a new Citizenship in Society merit badge that encourages scouts to explore important topics around diversity, equity, inclusion and ethical leadership and learn why these qualities are important in society and in Scouting. Beginning July 1, 2022, the Citizenship in Society merit badge will be required for scouts to earn their Eagle Scout rank.
