Welcome to Troop 265's Website!

Troop 265 was established in 1972 and is chartered by Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound Texas. The troop averages 60-80 registered scouts and has produced over 115 Eagle scouts.

We meet every Monday (except Mondays following the monthly campout), at the Scout Hut at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 1401 Cross Timbers Road, Flower Mound, TX 75028. For more information, or to schedule a visit, please use the Contact Us link on the left.

Boys Life Renewal

In early March, the troop will be renewing membership for all active scouts and adult leaders. Recharter fees will be charged to their scout accounts. Note the troop does not receive any of this - it all goes to National BSA.This is separate than membership and activity fees that the troop may assess as needed.

Additionally if you would like to receive (or continue to receive) Boys Life magazine, that will be an additional $12. For more info on Boys Life and to signup/renew please click here. Deadline is Feb 28th,

Riley Miller's Eagle Scout Project

Laying trails for wheelchair accessibility to a cabin and service building and installing a drainage pipe to protect trails from water erosion at Briarwood Retreat Center.

The Project is from 9-4 on the 24th and 25th.

H. Roe Bartle Summer Camp 2018

Session 4  July 6th-16th   - Lonestar Camp- Bartle Scout Reservation-

The H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, located in Osceola, Missouri, is home to over 6,600 Boy Scouts and 3,000 leaders each summer. The 4,200 acre reservation consists of three camps Lone Star, Sawmill, and Piercing Arrow and the Osage Wilderness Trail. The H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation has been a summer home to Scouting and its leadership development program, the Tribe of Mic-O-Say since 1929.

IMPORTANT
This is an Eagle Merit Badge requirement and will take 90 days from the time that you start and end your chore chart (a chore chart is attached at the end of the workbook).  It is very important that you bring a copy of your workbook.
 
PARENTS
Please review the Family Life MB Workbook and note that requirement (6.b.2 at the top of page 5), "Understanding the growing-up process and how the body changes, and making responsible decisions dealing with sex".  I will discuss this briefly with the scouts further discuss "Abstinence and Responsible Sexual Behavior", per the Family Life handbook (page 50).

24th World Scout Jamboree 2019

The 24th World Scout Jamboree will take place at the Summit Bechtel Scout Reserve in West Virginia from July 21, 2019 to August 2, 2019.

Northern Tier- 6 Day Canoe Adventure - ONE SPOT LEFT!

Troop 265 has 2 crews attending the Northern Tier High Adventure in June, 2018.  The dates are June 12th-19th.

There is a single spot left for anyone interested in attending this High Adventure!  The Scout must be at least 14 years of age to attend.
